12th March - John Doe Trio

We first saw the guys at the 2018 Broadstairs Blues Bash and they were absolutely superb, gaining not one, but three, genuine standing ovations...they are a very special band

John Doe Trio has established itself as one of the most exciting bands on the British blues circuit. The debut album ‘Stranger’ received critical acclaim both internationally and in the UK, and was described as, “A Masterpiece” and “Most Excellent” by British blues broadcasters.

They continue to wow audiences around Britain's blues clubs and festivals with their pure unbridled musicianship: often described as virtuosic. A must-see band for all blues fans, young and old.

Lee Signey (The Infamous Rooster Fish) will be opening the evening.

19th March - Staffell & Stewart Band
One of our regulars though this was the best gig of last year. The blues is a broad church and there is something for everyone.
Tim Staffell & Paul Stewart were original contributors to the Rhythm & Blues explosion of the sixties; Stewart was lead singer and harp player with legendary R&B band ‘The Others’, while Staffell was lead singer and bass player in the pre-Queen power trio ‘Smile’ with Brian May & Roger Taylor. The band features Paul Gordon White on Drums, Steve Kemp-King on bass, and Charlotte Glasson on horns, fiddle, and assorted instruments. Together they play a selection of original material and their own freely adapted arrangements of traditional Blues tunes’

26th March - Mojo Mules Full Electric Band (Blues for a fiver night)
Mojo Mules are a formidable blues band that embodies the true essence of the genre. The Duo started by busking in the streets of Northampton, playing everything from delta blues to funky 70’s blues.
