We are also planning concerts for the three 5th Tuesdays in the year. They will be something different.

24th May - Liam Ward Band
The Liam Ward Band bring you modern rhythm and blues like you've never heard before!

Get your mojo working with the epic harp-driven sounds of vintage American dance music: rocking blues, west coast swing and funky, soulful roots music.

Liam Ward is a winner of the National Harmonica League Player of the Year and has been described by Harmonica World as "endlessly inventive". His harmonica style is a blistering blend of traditional and unconventional, producing a modern sound that is truly his own.

With one foot firmly in the past, the band also have innovation at the heart of everything they play and are well-known for originals that push blues boundaries, bringing you some of the freshest rhythm & blues on offer.

Debut album Uprising has garnered acclaim with both the public and critics and is already being hailed as a new direction for the genre. The album, in conjunction with their live work, exhibits the band's dedication to keeping the blues alive and well in the twenty-first century.

14th June -  Jimmy Regal & The Royals

We have got in early on this band when they came and played for us in September 2021. A tough and howlin' blues three piece - harmonica, guitar, drums.

Review of live show at the 100 Club: They opened the show in spectacular style... Joff's harp playing is truly virtuoso. Whether on diatonic or chromatic, Joff is one of the finest blues, blue/rock harp players on the circuit. CJ's solos are understated yet sublimely elegant. Sammy's percussion is powerful and steady, and provides a hard-driving backdrop to each song. This is an excellent band, only just beginning to make its mark, but the trajectory is pointing upwards. There is much more to come. (Blues in Britain magazine)

Harmonica players. Those of you who have had harmonica lessons at The Stables, Wavendon may well already know the bands leader as Joff Watkins harmonica tutor

28th June - Hugh Budden & The Blue Chords

Hugh Budden is a harmonica player and showman with his band the Blue Chords. Mark only books bands he has seen and we must admit he has a good record of bringing bands to The Bletchley Blues Club that entertain us with some great music and talent.
Joyous swing, jump, jive, rock roll, funk and with soul.
I missed the last gig due to Covid, but folks told me that the guitarist was very special. Some even said the best they had seen at the club.
Here is 6 minutes of High playing with various people including The Blue Chords and talking about the music he loves and performs. Even a flick through should convince you to come.

Later in the year we have:
4th July - Mark Harrison Duo
12th July - Split Whiskers
26th July - Bad Influence
9th Aug - Debbie Bond
23rd Aug -  Krissy Matthews
6th Sept - Spikedrivers
13th Sept - Fabulous Duck Brothers
27th September - Great West Groove

After that we have Dave Ferra Band, Staffell & Stewart, Big Azza, Long Road Home, Cinelli Brothers all in the pipeline.
