26th October - Bad Influence

BAD INFLUENCE are led by singer/rhythm guitarist Val Cowell and lead/slide guitar player Richard Hayes.
The band has existed for 25 years and has received much critical acclaim for both their original songs and their strong covers of Tom Petty to Bonnie Raitt to Fleetwood Mac etc.

They have appeared on all types of stage and radio and released six CDs. Their latest CD is 'Carousel' from which four tracks were recorded for Paul Jones' Radio 2 Show.
Val has been described as having "a tidal wave of a voice that can take on the mantle of our greatest singers", while the band's overall performances receive reports such as.. "Bad Influence always leave their audiences handsomely entertained".
Their experienced and tight rhythm section has long time drummer Harry James (Thunder/Magnum) and the more recent addition of bass player Pete Stroud (Peter Green Splinter Group/Buddy Whittington Band).
Bad Influence have definitely paid their 'dues' and are now considered by many to be one of the top acts in their field, delivering their sound of powerful vocals alongside classic guitar driver rock solid blues.

9th November - Hugh Budden and the Blue Chords

Fronted by award-winning Harmonica player/singer Hugh Budden, he has shared the bill or the stage with many top musicians/bands in the last 30+ years.

Joined by Joe Curtis (Guitar) Harvey Hark (Bass) & Steve Faithfull (Drums) they play a wide variety of blues-based songs across many different genres, from the 1920's to the 1970's Guaranteed toe tapping music for “grown-ups”!!

23rd November - Krissy Matthews Band

Krissy Matthews is bringing his show to Bletchley Blues Club on a rare show in the UK. He has just released his brand new record "Pizza Man Blues" with the very well respected Ruf Records, and will be performing music from this album.
A night of great blues, rock and funk is guaranteed!

14th December - Catfish (£15)

Catfish played at The Stables earlier in the year, so we are very pleased to have them in the comfortable surrounds of the Bletchley Blues Club. An International touring blues rock powerhouse, Catfish are making waves on the music scene in the UK and Europe. Matt Long the guitarist was named Instrumentalist of the Year in the UK Blues Awards 2021. In the UK Blues Awards of May 2020, the band were named Band of the Year and Matt Long was named Blues Instrumentalist of the Year. In 2018 they won the UK Blues Award for Blues Act of the Year (England) to add to their 2016 British Blues Award.

In the last few years, they have played at almost every major UK blues festival and have established themselves as a real force in the British blues scene. They now tour regularly in Europe.

Their first two albums 'So Many Roads' and ‘Broken Man’ both reached No.1 in the IBBA airplay charts. The second of these, ‘Broken Man’, was also nominated for a UK Blues Award and was named album of the year by the IBBA. Their third album 'Burning Bridges' was released in May 2019 and has received excellent reviews from the UK and European music press. It was the third most played album by the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association in 2019 and was nominated for a UK blues award for 2020 as album of the year.
